This month we're introducing a dedicated Resource Updates section to our newsletter, announcing Ponte Vecchio GPUs at CHI@TACC for a limited time, improving CLI authentication with the new ccauth tool, increasing the image size limit to 100GB, adding Ubuntu 26.04 support with a new fractional GPU image, and improving CHI@Edge BYOD enrollment. In the community, Kate Keahey delivered a keynote at CCGrid 2026 in Sydney.

This month we're welcoming CHI@NCAR as a full Chameleon site with 40 new AMD EPYC nodes, announcing baremetal H100 GPUs at CHI@TACC, adding Jetson Orin devices on CHI@Edge, previewing our new AI Documentation Assistant, sharing a revamped documentation site, and highlighting recordings from the Sixth Chameleon User Meeting along with upcoming community events at NSDI '26.

2026 is in full swing now. The Chameleon team in Chicago is struggling to keep warm, but the cold isn’t slowing down our momentum as we enter a new year. This newsletter brings upcoming changes to Trovi and the appliance catalog, with announcements about open registration for the 6th Chameleon User Meeting (Boulder, CO, April 15-16), a reminder to submit to the call for presentations, and upcoming webinars (next up: How to Use CHI@Edge to Enable Edge to Cloud Experimentation on Feb. 17th).

This past month brings 2025 to a close and also exciting updates, including a year in review, Trovi improvements, and a CHI@Edge artifact, along with announcements about upcoming webinars (next up: How to Organize Artifact Evaluations (AEs) with Shared Infrastructure on Jan. 13th), our call for presentations for our sixth user meeting at NCAR’s campus in Boulder, and highlights from our newly appointed reproducibility ambassadors.

This month brings exciting updates including enhanced hardware browser integration, CHI@Edge stability improvements, and expanded support for distributed training on AMD GPUs, along with announcements about upcoming webinars and our sixth user meeting at NCAR’s campus in Boulder.

October was Performance Month for Chameleon Cloud. We're excited to share a variety of performance upgrades for various testbed services, a new Trovi feature, new webinars, user resources, and awesome Trovi artifacts developed by our users!

This month we have some exciting updates to Trovi’s dashboard, support for 4xGPU instances on KVM@TACC, improvements to cc-snapshot, and a new webinar series!

New H100 hardware on KVM@TACC, and good news about KVM lease limits, quotas, and SU cost. Additionally, we have SU changes for baremetal, an improved the resource browser, and are announcing the deprecation of TACC login.
