Great news: the International Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT) is coming to Chicago this year and we will present a live Chameleon tutorial at the conference on October 19th in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to meet members of the Chameleon team in person and learn about the system, whether you are a new user or a Chameleon veteran!
PACT 2026 will bring together leading researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and national laboratories to discuss the latest advances in computer architecture, compilation techniques, runtime systems, AI systems, and high-performance computing. It is an excellent opportunity for students to present their work, network with experts, and learn about emerging research directions. If you are ACM/IEEE member the registration fees for the main conference are $750 / $350 for professionals / students – or $200 / $100 if you just do the tutorial. The Chameleon tutorial will cover the full experimental lifecycle on Chameleon: from browsing our new resource catalog and allocating hardware, to constructing complex experimental topologies such as virtual clusters, to snapshotting, packaging, and sharing reproducible artifacts via Trovi. Attendees will gain hands-on experience with Chameleon and leave with reusable experiment patterns they can immediately apply to their own research or education projects on the system. The tutorial will also include a selection of advanced topics and Q&A adapted to the needs of the audience.
